Update 1.7.3 Fails - No reason

Recommended Posts

I am trying to update my Affinity Photo and Designer to 1.7.3 and the setup fails.  No reason given, doesn't even look like it tries, just immediatley a Setup Failed popup on both of them.  I've tried just running them, running htem as administrator, nothing seems to work.  Windows 7

Rebooting Windows before trying the install may help. I would reboot then try running the installer as Administrator.

If that doesn't work, you can press and hold the Windows key and press R to get a Run box. Type or paste %temp%\AffinitySetup into the box and press OK.

A File Explorer window will open, with some directories containing the setup logs. If you look at Setup.log and SetupUI.log in the newest directory you should find a more descriptive error message. You could upload the files here, or search for "Error" and report the complete message.
