Affinity Photo stock tab new layer

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Can I pull an image from the stock photo tab as a new document?

Here are the steps I'm doing now.

  • Create a new document, any size
  • Drag image from stock tab to new document
  • Copy image layer
  • Create new document from clipboard
  • Resize as necessary

What I want to do is just drag an image from the stock tab as a new document.

Can I do this?

Thanks

In a word, no. This has been requested previously.

By the way, there’s no need to copy the image and create a new document from the clipboard in order to yield a document of the correct size. After dragging the image onto the existing document, use the ‘Clip Canvas’ command to make the canvas fit the size of the selected object.

I hesitate to disagree with Alfred, as I may have misunderstood your question.

Create new document, any size.  Go to Stock, select image, drag and drop.

Click Document, Clip Canvas, worked for me.
