Affinity photo shows a different shade of blue

Recommended Posts

Image 1- Screen shot of Olympus raw file as displayed in Apple mac's Finder

Image 2 - Screen shot of Olympus raw file opened in Affinity photo

My issue is that, in Image 1, the blue above the black chest band of the bird is a mauve  blue and is the correct colour as seen on the bird.    In  Image 2,  it is a  different shade of blue. The difference is immediately apparent after opening the file in Affinity Photo . The blue in Image 1 is the correct colour on the bird in real life.    Can anyone explain why that particular shade of blue on the bird has changed in Affinity?  I use an Apple iMac.

Hi LindaW,

Welcome to the forums,

Please could you open your RAW image then go to View > Assistant manager and untick enable assistant then restart photo and re open your image. It should hopefully now appear the same as it does in Preview.

Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
