icon preview?

Hi Safoster71,

If you follow the steps given by Signguy here  This will get the previews of .afphoto showing within the Finder app.

I can confirm this works, as I just had to do it to get my previews working :)

I did both the terminal command and relaunched the Finder. Still won't show anything else but the Photo icon for .afphoto files, nor does preview (with the spacebar) work either.

There's one other possibility.  This one bit me a couple of times.  The second time after an OS update when it changed these settings back to the default.   In Security and Privacy, under "Allow applications downloaded from:" if I had "Mac App Store and identified developers" checked  it would not let me see an Affinity file icon.  I changed that to "Anywhere" and got the icons back.

Great "security" when it will let you open and run the application but not see its file icon, huh?

Hope this works for you.  All I can tell you is that it did for me.
