tpietri
Hey Serif, I bought both Designer and Photo a few years back (don't recall when). When firing up designer today, I got the "What we love in 1.7" pop up and figured it might be time to update. I honestly don't recall if I bought both programs through the Apple App Store or from the Serif site. Tried updating from the App Store and was only given the option to purchase. Tried updating from Serif and the site didn't recognize either of my email addresses (no stored password on my computer). I'm currently running 1.5.1 on Photo and 1.5.4 on Designer. Thanks for your help, Tom
walt.farrell
If it was a few years ago, and on Mac, I think your only choice would have been through the Mac App Store. Perhaps you're not using the same identity in the Mac App Store as you used to purchase them originally? You need to be signed in with the same identity there to do the update. tpietri 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
mac_heibu
You certainly are on the main window of the AppStore, where you can‘t update your apps. So choose the „Purchased“ tab, and there you can download the apps again. tpietri
Staff SFurniss Posted October 7, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 7, 2019 If you purchased through the Mac App Store, open the Mac App Store App and go to the Updates page. If the updates are not showing, go to Store > Reload page. This should hopefully force the updates to show. tpietri
tpietri
Thanks all so much. It turns out that I'm occasionally a total dummy, and wasn't actually signed in to the App Store. I guess I assumed I'd just be always signed in when signed in to my Mac. Thanks so much for all your help. Ulysses

I was trying to get the suite installed on my MacBook Pro (same Mac platform and therefore same license), but ran into the same problem as yourself. I didn’t realize I had been signed out of the App Store, which was the reason the Store thought I needed to pay again. Thanks for the help, everyone!
