Annoying circle surrounding stylus when it touches the screen.

Recommended Posts

Egad! Suddenly, a very annoying blue circle surrounds my finger or stylus every time I touch the screen to perform an edit to an image. I have no idea what has caused this and really need to get rid of it. HELP!   Thanks.

I just found the problem. I had turned “on” show touches in Preferences. Turning that setting off cured it. Surely comforting to know that you folks are here to help the needy. I will be back soon with another question regarding setting up additional file locations for images (since the iPad lacks the desktop’s “File” function).

iPad has Files app.

Saving a copy from Workscreen (Document Menu/Save a Copy) opens Files and allows you to override the selected ‘default' save location to save wherever you like. You need to close the existing 'sandboxed' version and use Open from Cloud, navigate to the copy and open it. Now when working you will see a save option (Document Menu/Save). This saves your edits back to your previously selected folder.

Readdle make an app called Documents. It’s very good for creating nested folders and file management. Gives access to all sorts of locations, networks and is able to preview images. Too many features to note here. Well worth a look. Also Pixave for iOS is good for managing images in folders and displays many raw formats.

DM1, I can’t thank you enough for the Documents by Readdle suggestion. It is by far the best file management app I’ve ever seen or used and you must be it’s match as a contributor here at iPad Forums.

Thank you very much.
