Den_K
Hey everyone! Is there possible to increase speed of snapping? This slow appearing of snapping lines is very annoying. I use Affinity Designer latest version 1.7.3 for Windows. Thank you!
R C-R
AFAIK, the only way to improve snapping speed is to turn off all the snapping options you don't need for the task at hand, keep the "Screen tolerance" setting at a small number, & zoom in enough that the tolerance does not include too large a screen area. It also helps to use a computer with as many CPU cores as possible. The way I understand it is this is because many of the snapping candidate calculations are more complex than one might think & it takes time to calculate all the enabled ones & display one among all the possible candidates. Den_K
Thanks for reply. I tried to play with turning off some snapping functions, doesn't help. I'm not sure but it looks like the ease animation of snapping is just feature of AD, so would be great to have an option to turn it off. Rudantu
Would love to have a setting for this! Akin to tooltip delay, I want a candidate snapping delay slider - candidate snapping is great for being deliberate and specific with your snaps - I'd love to be deliberate AND fast.
