Shock
I'm trying to apply a lens distortion correction profile to my photos, but no matter what I try, I always see "Lens profile distortion (unsupported)". I have all the lens correction profiles from Lensfun in Affinity Photo's "Lens Profiles" folder (C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Photo\1.0\LensProfiles), and I've restarted the program, but nothing seems to enable this option for me. I've even tried using images shot using different cameras and different lenses, still nothing. Here's what I see at the top of the program window (oddly showing a different lens which I don't own): And here's the EXIF data (which is accurate): This camera and lens are supported, so does anyone know why the profile isn't automatically being applied? firstdefence
Out of curiosity have you tried opening the RAW file in Rawtherapee because it uses the Lensfun profiles, to see if this is an app issue or a Lensfun issue? You can also install Darktable as this app also uses Lensfuns profiles. Shock
RawTherapee actually works perfectly. It automatically detects the camera/lens on the same image and applies the appropriate corrections:
Staff DWright Posted October 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 6, 2019 Hi @Shock, Is it possible for you to PM a copy of your RAW file
Shock
Yes, I just sent you a private message with an example of a RAW image that's giving me trouble, but the lens correction profile is also not working for any of the images I've tried, even ones shot with different cameras and lenses. I also attached it to this post: IMG_1088.CR2 Edited October 6, 2019 by Shock
Frogger
Affinity Photo 1.7.3.481 and the beta 1.8.0.486, the lens profile distortion is greyed out and says (none) on NEF RAW images. with my Sigma 70-300mm, Tamron 18-200mm, Nikon 18-55mm. My old Nikon 50mm 1.8mm. the lens profile distortion is not greyed out with that lens.
Staff DWright Posted October 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 8, 2019 Hi @Shock, Thank you for the RAW file I have passed this along to our QA team to investigate why a Canon EF 28-90mm lens is being detected rather than your Tamron 28-300mm lens even with a lensfun xml file for this lens
