For those of us switching from Photoshop to Affinity due to, well let's be honest - Adobe's greed, it would be very nice indeed if you included more in your help feature on desktop for switchers. For example, there is absolutely no information on how to select and delete part of an image - a very basic function in all image editors. We are forced to Google for this information and when we do find it, there is no information on how to switch from vector mode to raster mode in order to get the tools necessary to complete the action. To put it bluntly, that is pretty annoying.

If you users to continue to switch, you really should make it easier than an hour of Googling to solve the basics to get started.

My 2¢.

You have not said which Affinity app you are using but from the "switching from Photoshop" comment can we assume you are using Affinity Photo?

If so, have you tried searching the help topics on "erase" or just tried using the Erase Brush Tool?

I would assume from this part of the comment that they are using Designer @R C-R so probably where the confusion is coming from, Designer is comparable to Illustrator not Photoshop,  the selection brush and selection tools are in the ‘Pixel Persona’ you can click backspace to delete anything you have selected.
