pomme27
Kind of a newbie question I guess. I want to create a beach similar to the attached examples. In Affinity Designer, how can I best create the speckled sand effect? I know I can create little shapes and populate them all over the sand, but I would like to know if there is better way with the AD software. Staff Leigh Posted July 2, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 2, 2015 I would go into the Pixel Persona and use one of the Paint Brushes. You could even create your own brush from an image. Here's my attempt - I went a bit mad with the Paint Brush, ha :) MEB and Paul Bravery
peter
Hi Pomme27 Two simple tricks. When you select the colour for your sand, the fill box has a slider bar underneath (option box, slider bar, top left corner of screen). Adjust this for noise/grain. Duplicate your beach; then, with the copy on the top layer, adjust the sand by using the transparency (wine glass, left tool bar) and opacity (option box in Layers tab, right side of screen). Adjust this for blending/shading/borders. HTH B) peter Leigh 1 Quote MacBook pro, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, OS X 10.11.6 http://www.pinterest.com/peter2111
