NicoleH
I have been using affinity for some time now and have been having problems with saving ever since i started using it. Some times it works but most times it doesn't. I try to save and it tells me that it can't save and needs to close which means i have to start again. Not happy. firstdefence
Are you saving to USB or and external drive? It's been recommended to save files locally and not work from a External device, the file can then be saved/backed up to an external drive. Staff Callum Posted October 2, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 2, 2019 Hi NicoleH, Adding to what Firstdefence said this can also happen if you are saving to a cloud location especially when working on Wi-Fi. Are you saving to or opening from any of the locations we mentioned? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. carl123
It seems strange that the error message says "access to the autosave file was lost" That file would be stored locally on most standard installations @NicoleH Do you know if your installation of Designer was non-standard (e.g. not on the C: drive) or have you remapped any temp folders or %appdata% to another drive? Also, check how much free space you have on your C: drive - autosave files can get quite large Either something is going wrong with "autosave access" somewhere or the error message is misleading Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
