3Dshark
I know it's a small request, but it'd be really useful (and liven up my desktop) if the .afphoto and .afdesign documents had a generic icon. I (like a lot of other designers I know) have the icon preview turned off so I can quickly see what the document type is. The standard white one is rather dull, considering how great everything else is! Cheers :) macmello and A_B_C
Staff MattP Posted June 30, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 30, 2015 I think that the next RC should actually have document icons in it - in fact, I thought that RC3 of Photo should have document icons... hmm, maybe there's something wrong (or it could be one of those mysterious cacheing problems that sorts itself out when you install the App Store version? We'll try to look into it and make sure they should be working :)
3Dshark
Hi. I got nice colourful icons very briefly when I downloaded Photo, however they quickly were replaced by the boring white page ones. Any ideas? I emptied the icon cache, but nothing. Also if I double click on a Photo icon it opens up in Designer. Cheers
Staff MEB Posted July 14, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 14, 2015 Hi 3Dshark, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Have you tried to restart your system? Sometimes that's a pontual issue with caches that disappears by itself. The issue you are reporting about files being opened in the wrong application is a known bug that should be fixed soon.
