webchemist
My install of 1.7.2 for Publisher fails on setup. I've have downloaded the file again but install still fails. Tried reinstalling 1.7.404 but it now fails. Any help would be appreciated. DogfishDesign
Staff Gabe Posted October 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 1, 2019 Hi @webchemist, Welcome to the forums. Can you please navigate to %temp%\AffinitySetup, open the most recent created folder and attach the 2 files here? Thanks, Gabe.
DogfishDesign
I'm also having this problem, but with Windows Version 1.7.3. I had been prompted to update Publisher the last time I opened it up, and downloaded the file to do so. Since then, I still have a Publisher icon in my Start menu, but it doesn't work, and the 1.7.3 setup file fails every time I try to run it. Also, the Publisher Folder is inaccessible (screenshot attached). Edited October 1, 2019 by DogfishDesign
Staff Gabe Posted October 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 1, 2019 Hi @DogfishDesign, Welcome to the forums. Can you please navigate to %temp%\AffinitySetup, open the most recent created folder and attach the 2 files here? That folder not being accesible is a local issue on your end. Have you got admin rights on your PC? Thanks, Gabe.
DogfishDesign
Thanks for the reply. Files are attached. Quote That folder not being accesible is a local issue on your end. Have you got admin rights on your PC? I have got admin rights, and that folder is the only one that brings up that message - even the other Affinity app folders open fine. Staff Gabe Posted October 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 1, 2019 Just what I thought. +Error: The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator. Try rebooting your PC and see if that works.
