Have you tried a restart?

Have you tried a restart? I can import from external drive using drag&drop from the Files app. (IPad Pro 12,9, third Gen, iOS 13.1.1) But I don’t understand why there is no possibility to import photos from Affinity Photos (using a document picker like Import from the cloud). p_mac
You want to open files from within Affinity Photo. This is a function of iPadOS. I assume that AP needs to work with Apple to solve this. It is my understanding that LR has direct access to files from external drive, don't know if that is true. But as AP doesn't have a library it is difficult for me to know what I want to load into AP. I would like to be able to have access into the Photos app itself as one can do with importing from a camera. Truth be told moving photos from the Files folder into Photos is daunting. Apple needs to do some work on that me thinks. I guess they want to sell storage but if you have a 1T iPad, this should be an option. DM1
6 hours ago, p_mac said: moving photos from the Files folder into Photos is daunting Not really. Set up an empty project folder in APhoto Project screen. Drag Files app up so it opens over Photo and navigate to your image folder. Tap and hold on an image then tap other images while holding the first one. You should see a plus sign. When you have enough selected, drag and drop over the APhoto project folder. The images will all be copied to that folder. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
