garrettm30 Posted September 27, 2019 Share Posted September 27, 2019 There are a couple ways. One is to make sure all your spacing works in multiples. For example, if your text leading (line height) is 13pt, but your before paragraph space is something like 10pt, then each paragraph break is going to cause all lines after the break to be offset. You can see that this has happened in the right column with the paragraph beginning at “Ut wisi enim…” To fix this, you would make the before paragraph spacing equal to the leading, or else 2 times the leading for a much larger space. Using a baseline grid is another option, which keeps you from needing to worry about all the spacing adding up exactly right.
