Yes, please streamline color picker, current way to change color of an object to something else is unnecessarily slow and tedious.

Maybe something like this:

- hotkey for invoking color picker

- clicking on a color will instantly change either fill or stroke of selected object(s), using modifier key (like shift) to change which one changes

- clicking and dragging will recolor the selected object in realtime, to give good visual feedback

- if no object is selected only color will be changed

- current color palette eyedropper could coexist with this, as sometimes one just wants the color

+1  The multi-step color picker is the only thing I've found about either Designer or Photo that just seems clunky and not equal to the rest of Affinity's elegance.

@waveman777, thanks for putting reference on this. That's helpful for now but only poses as a temporary solution.

We'd still want to have the affinity team implement the on-spot eyedropper. :)

YES! +1  Eye dropper to pickup the color from another object. Select a object, press a hotkey and click on another object that you'd like to pickup the color from, voila - most other programs work this way. This dragging a tool all over the place isn't very intuitive.
