rf2019
To define a cut line in laser engraving software you have to set it at a specific color at a specific stroke weight. For a Trotec laser, the weight is 0.0036pt. The problem is, if you type in a decimal more than two places the Affinity software rounds it down to zero. This is a showstopper bug that makes the software unsuitable for the production of laser engraved artwork. Please fix this. Thanks.
walt.farrell
@rf2019: Internally Affinity uses numbers accurate to 6 decimal places in most cases. Externally (in the User Interface) it only displays numbers to the precision you've specified in your Affinity Preferences. For example, here's a screenshot of of the Appearance panel for an object with a .0036pt stroke specified: Here's the Preference you need to change to be able to see settings like that: Dan C 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
