Affinity Designer Generating Export to PSD Taking Forever

Recommended Posts

I have made a big boo-boo.

Basically my naive self thought it was a good idea to construct from scratch a 70page A5 booklet in AD.

Now I realised I should probably export this as a PSD and work on it on my laptop.

Before, AD would crash when I select the file. It'd dim and load for ages, stay open for 2 seconds and then crash.

I restarted my iPad and somehow that managed to fix that issue. My file stays open now but I don't dare do any editing on it.

Problem now though is that I am trying to actually export it as a PSD but it is taking 5 million years to generate the export.

Is there anything I can do about this or is all hope lost now? :(

My boss isn't gonna be too happy eek!

Hi 888 :)

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble, but I'm certainly glad to hear you have found a workaround for the time being.

If you can save the .afdesign file, it would certainly help if we could have a copy of this to look into your issue further - you can upload this to the following link -

Could you also please confirm your iPad specs and which iOS version you're currently running? Many thanks in advance!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
