10 days is too short! Longer trial and based on actual usage

Recommended Posts

I recently downloaded Affinity Publisher as I want to move away from Adobe's subscription model for Creative Cloud InDesign. I create books for a living, and typically, one book project takes me 3 to 6 weeks to finish (lots of communication with editors and content creators, prepress and so on). So, in order to fully appreciate the workflow and features offered by Affinity Publisher, I'd like to be able to try the app for 20 to 40 days in my own pace, much like how Scrivener's trial model works. Would that be possible?

That is not currently possible, and someone from Serif would have to comment on whether they might consider something like that for the future.

In the meantime, when you purchase directly from Serif's online store you get a 14-day money-back return period. If you combine that with the 10-day free trial period, that gives you, in essence, a 24-day trial period that you can use now.

One important question would be: What types of books?

And I assume you are inquiring concerning Affinity Publisher.

I would recommend an attempt to layout one of your completed, most complex books again in APub. That would give you a better idea if APub is at a state ID could be replaced with the type of content you do and what work-flows need adapted (or simply do not/will not work). Doing a real job in APub during your typical process may result in redoing it in ID anyway.
