Hangman
Hi Roger, Which resize handle are you using, a or b, they serve different purposes. If you use b the table scales correctly, if a, I agree the table goes a bit mad, some might say beyond mad Quote Affinity Designer 2.4.2 | Affinity Photo 2.4.2 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.2 Affinity Designer 1.7.3 | Affinity Photo 1.7.3 | Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 MacBook Pro 16GB, macOS Monterey 12.7.4, Magic Mouse
Staff Pauls Posted September 23, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 23, 2019 Was the table created entirely in the latest release version ?

Roger terry
Is it possible to change the line spacing within a cell? I selected the last text and from paragraph attempted to close up the spacing but it changed the cell width for the entire row.

Hangman
Hi Roger, It seems to adjust as expected, how are you trying to adjust the row 3 height? row_three_height.mp4 Quote Affinity Designer 2.4.2 | Affinity Photo 2.4.2 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.2 Affinity Designer 1.7.3 | Affinity Photo 1.7.3 | Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 MacBook Pro 16GB, macOS Monterey 12.7.4, Magic Mouse
Roger terry
Try reducing the height.
Hangman
It's because the Text Style used for formatting the text in your table, Table Body 1 has the leading set to Exactly 8pt which for some strange reason is preventing the table height from being adjusted. If you change the leading to a smaller value, e.g. 5pt then you can reduce the cell height. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not as to my way of thinking the leading shouldn't affect the cell height when the text is vertical! Roger terry
Excellent! Thanks for your help, that fixed it though I can't see what the reason might be.
Hangman
It looks like a bug to me as logically the leading would or should work horizontally when the text is vertical. Hopefully, the team can take a look.
