Is there a short-cut for viewing the nodes of a group? I want to be able to place a guide line running through a particular node. Obviously I could do this by un-grouping etc but since discovering that I can edit a group without un-grouping I would rather not.

It won't select the nodes of a group.

Hi jackamus,

No, the only way to show the nodes of all objects of a group is selecting them all in the Layers panel (click on the first, press ⇧ (shift) while clicking the last one in the group).

This however will not solve your issue, because to create a guide you will need to change to the Move tool (it's the only tool that allows you to drag a guide), and as soon you do that the nodes become deselected again.

I think those limitations will be addressed at some point. I'm not yet aware of how Ben't latest improvements to the snapping system/guides will affect (or not) this particular issue. But there's some changes coming. I´ve also suggested to make the Move tool node aware sometime ago, to help with this and other situations. One way or another, just give us some time. I'm sure this will be sorted out.

Sounds good to me.

I find it a source of encouragement that I'm not always alone in my suggestions.
