HagensWatch
In my opinion the current implementation of creating a document with global colors is ridiculous for one big reason. After selecting a global color and placing it onto the document palette the color swatch immediately disappears! So this means I need to reopen the color swatch just to add a new global color and again this closes immediately after placing the new global color. On and on and on. Since global colors can only be in document palettes it's very slow going. Creating a document with just five colors can take up to 10 minutes using this method. There needs to be a simpler way to add global colors to a document palette that doesn't require Publisher closing the swatch palette every time a new global color is added. It would be nice to have the swatch palette stay open permanently while selecting multiple colors all in one swoop. As it is one has to memorize the color swatch and reselecting that swatch to choose the new colors.
Wosven
You can also keep the (for example) Pantone palette open, colour as many rectangles as you need colours, and create a document's palette. You select each one of the rectangles and add their colour to this palette. Once done, you can delete the rectangles.
HagensWatch
Thanks for this workaround but it still leaves something to be desired in terms of the global colors in document palette creation. I think Serif Labs needs to address this issue.
Wosven
Yes, for sure. There are different points they'll need to correct about palettes and global colours.
