Hi Donald and Welcome to the Forums,

Can you try running the setup as Admin, just right on the download and select Run As Administrator.  If it still fails, which version of Windows are you installing Affinity on?

I have Windows 8.1.  When it comes to computer functions I am as dumb as a rolling river rock.  Don't understand geek and what's worse I have no idea where to search for anything except where to sigh in to my account and at the search area.  I did find that when I tried to run the trial version a popup showed the following... Something was blocked, then We couldn’t complete the updates, Undoing changes.  Don't turn off your computer.  I see this same message each time I turn my computer on.  Frustrating for sure.  I've been trying to search for repairs and driver downloads and I am getting no where, like stuck in a circle.
