btuck6
I am trying to make it look as though each of these strokes are separate entities but I want to use the 3d effect. When the 3d effect is applied it looks like the strokes are attached together when they overlap. thanks bt overlapping strokes.afdesign
Staff MEB Posted September 16, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 16, 2019 Hi btuck6, Welcome to Affinity Forums You are applying the FX to the whole group so all lines are equally affected and treated as one element. You must apply the FX to each line/object individually. PixelPest
… which is quick&easy when you make a "Style" from one and apply to all selected afterwards. Cheers
Staff MEB Posted September 16, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 16, 2019 Or by simply by copying the FX from the group layer (Edit > Copy), selecting all child elements in the Layers panel inside the group and pasting the FX (menu Edit > Paste Fx) if you only intend to do this once without saving it as a style. PixelPest
...but - it seems "Paste fx" won´t recognise the Stroke settings (Pressure in this case) as the Style does.
