F40lz74
Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't seen to find any tool to cut objects or shapes at nodes. Searching for 'knife' in the index or here in the Forum yields no search results. Searching for 'cut' yield thousands of hits on text cuts. The same goes when I search for 'knife tool' - thousands of unrelated hits on the word 'tool'. Cutting nodes in shapes and transforming the shapes into more complex shapes is the mainstay of my designs. I really need an adequate substitute if there is no knife tool. Raymondo
Hi F401z74 There is no knife tool in Affinity Designer at the moment but is on the road map to be implemented soon, maybe next update.

fde101
The knife tool has been on the roadmap since at least 2014, as evidenced in one of the numerous other threads requesting this: As to the "soon, maybe next update," as far as I can tell that comes from wishful thinking. Technically true from the perspective of someone on the outside, in that it may be in the next update for all we know, but it seems at least equally likely that it will not be. In the meantime, there is a workaround you might find useful:

Well it seems I have to stuck with illustrator for my current project.

Definitely, performing boolean operations needs to be improved. The Knife tool is just a tool for using them, and even in many situations very inefficient.
