Page breaks are inserted in my document spontaneously, and when I delete empty pages, parts of the following text disappear. This happens in all styles, and to my knowledge for no reason. If i insert a new paragraph, it becomes a page break. A problem that probably is connected is about last lines before page break turning up alone on new page.

When I deleted almost all of the pages to start over, linking to next page inserts a blank page before the page in question.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, John.

Would it be possible for you to attach a sample .afpub file that shows the problem? (I think the forum software will allow you to do that with your next post.)

You may have inadvertently set a Paragraph style to "Start on next/even/odd Page" in the flow section of the Paragraph style.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks for the file. Something odd happens at page 9, but I'm not sure how it relates to your problem. Actually, it starts at page 7, where the text should start but instead ends up on page 11.

But the odd thing on page 9 is that you have a very odd text flow:

The flow node on the bottom right of page 9 links in two directions: down to page 10, but also back up to itself. I have no idea how something like that could happen.
