But I am not convinced that if for example the files are stored on an external HDD, it is highly fragmented, & the connection is slow (like via USB 2) that the load time would be anything like that brief. Since I think we should be considering more than just the higher performance systems, this is what got me thinking that the post-sort option would be best. It probably would also be practical if they ever figure out how to allow the apps to operate directly on network attached & remote server documents without risking file corruption.
