Panorama/stitching causes my computer to hang and ultimately freezes which necessitates a power off and restart My laptop PC Windows 10 has 8 GB ram and plenty of hard drive capacity. Also currently installed Photoshop Elements 2019. Is this the problem? Could you please confirm, how many images are you attempting to stitch together? What is the physical pixel size of each of the separate images please? (ie 6 images @ 4000px x 600px each) Do you know what GPU your laptop has? Is this an Intel Integrated Graphics chip, or a standalone GPU?
