I have to send my packaging design as Ai File

Recommended Posts

Export as PDF and then rename the exported file from *.pdf to *.ai. The renamed file won't contain any data in the proprietary AI format, of course, but Illustrator should be able to read it.

The guy in China will probably need to edit it because i do a packaging design for a screen protection and the printer company will edit my design so it fits to every phone.
can he edit everything (move, scale, edit text) with adobe illustrator?

Are there any bitmap effects in the file? If not, while the person in China will have to release from two to a lot of clipping masks, the renaming thing will work, but no different than just sending the pdf.

Rent AI for a month is the best option.

If this isn't an ongoing thing, I would be happy to open and save as an AI file for you.
