DrQ
I'm having trouble getting Affinity to apply the correct lens distortion profile in develop persona. I'm shooting on a Canon EOS 550D with a Tamron 18-200mm F3.5/6.3 DiII VC B018 (as recognised in the EXIF within Affinity). However, when I open the image, it keeps applying the Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8 profile to the images. I've downloaded as the additional lens profiles for Tamron lens and installed them into the correct folder via the preferences, and confirmed the relevant .xml file contains a profile for Tamron "AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC". However, I keep getting the wrong lens profile applied. Is there a way to manually select a different lens profile in develop persona, or what should I be doing to ensure that Affinity selects the right profile? Thanks in advance. Pšenda
EXIF says what? Does this match the database entry for auto-correction (Lensfun)? Staff stokerg Posted September 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 8, 2019 Hi DrQ and Welcome to the Forums, Could you attach or upload a RAW file here and I'll get it checked I've seen a couple of cases where we get the lookup wrong or there is a naming issue in the Lensfun database. DrQ
@stokergDone, and really appreciate you looking at this. Filename is 97374.cr2 in line with this thread (I know it's not an image to win an award, but demonstrates the issue without subjecting you to holiday snaps!) @Pšenda EXIF details are in original post - there is slight variation in the naming convention, hence checking the reason for manual. Will make sure full update here if there's anything back from Tech support. Edited September 8, 2019 by DrQ
Staff stokerg Posted September 9, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 9, 2019 Hi @DrQ Just to update here, turns out we already had an issue like this logged with another Canon lens. This should be fixed shortly Tom Lachecki
