AffinityJules
As this is an English language forum (at least I think it is), I would hope that comments made were understandable for all readers of said comments. AlainP 1 Quote Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. These are not my own words but I sure like this quote. VectorWhiz
Nice semi concealed detail in the first artwork. When creating such minute objects AD's excellent zooming capabilities become really useful. EducationPrinciples
Don,, Looking at the images, i would have thought they were highly edited photos; except for your tag of Affinity Designer. Your creations really are inspiring to those of us that are slowly learning. The cable car in front of the bridge over the red sky is wonderful. Are you a self-taught digital artist? Did you start with a different application like Adobe Illustrator? How long have you been studying digital illustration? Don Lee

Your creations really are inspiring to those of us that are slowly learning. The cable car in front of the bridge over the red sky is wonderful. Are you a self-taught digital artist? Did you start with a different application like Adobe Illustrator? How long have you been studying digital illustration? I majored in Industrial Design during colleage. And before Affinity Designer, I was skilled in Ps, Ai. I learned Ps, Ai druing class and practiced a lot. When I got confussed, I searched advanced Ps, Ai tutorials on YouTube. That's really helpful. It took a week to be a primer and months to be skilled for me. Affinity Designer is really friendy for beginners, it's gradient tool, auto-snap, shape-control, mask tool are far more better than Ai's. The first time I used AD, I copied a Romain Trystam's digital art. The experience was wonderful, so AD became my favorate graphics software. Except being familar with tools, the point of drawing is bserving in details and focusing on key features. Before you draw, having a quik sketch in your mind. You can do some quik practices such as Plane Composition, Color Composition, Quik Sketch, Materials. Hope it helps.
