peterpica
Have a disaster. Did a 7-page document and thought I was home free after sending PDF proof to customer. Went back in to edit and now every time I try to save the document, it crashes on me. If I try to do a 'save as', it also crashes. I rebooted, etc., no luck. Am unable to edit and save changes any more. Short of starting over, is there anything I can do? firstdefence
It has something to do with the images on the pages, if you delete them from the pages you can save the document. peterpica
Thanks... w/o the images, I can't publish the document... FAT-RATS! Going to re-do in InDesign. Thanks.
firstdefence
This morning I exported the image out to a PNG file and then went to Document > Resource Manager, and replaced the images with the exported Png file and saved successfully. As a side note have you tried using Master pages to get a standardised look to each page, so if you have repeating objects such as "Yours faithfully", the name and image, if you use a master page and add those objects onto it you only need to do it once, same goes for any text frames you want on a page like a text frame for a page title and a text frame for the content. They are quite easy to use and you can have multiple master pages for different page layouts. If you would like any help with anything else just ask. stokerg 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... You could also try latest 1.7.3.475 beta to see whether it fixed your problems. It isn't sadly, at least not on Mac. @peterpica I'll get someone from @Affinity QA to take a look at the file and see what's happening and make sure the issue logged if it already isn't. Staff Pauls Posted September 10, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 10, 2019 It's something to do with the image. Deleting it from the pages will allow the file to be saved. How did you copy the pinned image to each text frame ?
peterpica
Placed image initially on one page. Then duped that page content for additional pages with copy chabges. Pauls
