I have used PagePlus since version 2 and am really missing a visual indication in Publisher like in PagePlus that things are grouped. If several ungrouped objects are selected, the individual object boundaries are also visible. I suspect that this is hardly different in PagePlus. For future occasions, there's a Feature Requests forum, with subforums for each product and for the entire suite. Feedback for Affinity Publisher on Desktop is the specific one for Publisher requests. When the moderators see this thread they will probably move it over there, since (as you mentioned) it's not a bug report.
