RLP
My printer requires that the type of the pdf file we submit is black black, not 4-color black. When I export the pages, which includes photos and art, I do select greyscale pdf. Yet, printing company says my type is 4-color black. Is there a way to set the type output as black? Staff Lee D Posted September 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 6, 2019 Select the object you wish to apply the colour, select the Swatches panel. On the right is a small group of swatches (None, Black, 50% grey and white) select the Black (100%K if exporting to CMYK) to apply to the object and export to PDF. RLP
Our issues is with the type. We produce a 12+ page newspaper each week. Our printer wants the type to be Black black, not CMYK black. Is there a setting, when exporting, to set the type to black?
Alfred
What do you mean by ‘Black black’? 100% K is black, not rich black, or at least it should be! RLP
Right, 100% K, not a combination of CMYK.
