Allen Brunk Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) I’ve had my curiosity spiked while browsing the NVIDIA website in the RTX area. They speak of applications being accelerated by NVIDIA GPUs. I was wondering if anyone has any info on wether the SERIF Affinity software package (Photo/Designer/Publisher) is being „Accellerated“, or will be in the future? https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-center/gpu-accelerated-applications/catalog/ I’ve reciently aquired a new Windows System with a RTX 2070 including 8GB of RAM on board. The rest of the system is as follows: ASUS PRIME Z370-P Motherboard i9-9900K CPU 32GB DDR4 3000 MHz RAM A 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD A 2 TB Seagate HDD With Win 10 Pro as my OS. I’ve no idea if I’d notice a difference, but, as many of us are, am curious. Edited September 5, 2019 by Allen Brunk added Info request on end of line 3 of text.
Staff DWright Posted September 5, 2019 Staff Posted September 5, 2019 Our Affinity apps uses the CPU to do the processing and the GPU for rendering the display output. we may introduce GPU processing in a future version of the apps
