zedrone
I was trying some editing on 32bits HDR image, and the Haze removal filter crash Aphinity Photo each time. Question in the title, is it a bug, or the function must be greyed out like other unavailable filter ? Staff DWright Posted September 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 4, 2019 Can you please provide more information on the source of your 32bit HDR photo and which version of Affinity Photo that you are using
zedrone
I'm using the last version of Affinity Photo for windows (1.7.2.471) It was a random HDR image from the web : this one precisely : https://www.hdri-hub.com/hdrishop/freesamples/freehdri/item/117-hdr-041-path-free no other operation did crash the software. zedrone
i just reproduce it again. i load the HDR_041_Path.hdr image in Affinity photo, do nothing else, and apply the haze removal, the computing / loading bar appear, work something like 5 second, and the software close. HVDB Photography
Okay, applying the Haze Removal directly to the .HDR file also causse AFphoto to quit on my system. I went through Develop Persona first and did some further editing in Photo Persona. So it will need some further investigation by the staff / Devs. Instead you may use the JPG file for editing. zedrone
Thx for confirming it HVDB. About the jpg, I don't really "need" to edit the file, i only do testing for now, checking what tool work on HDR image and what's not working, that's why my question was more about "is it an expected behavior or not" (should the haze removal filter be greyed out when editing HDR image or not) than how can i do this or that (the picture don't really need any haze removal after all...)
