create export variable "filename" or make user variables global.

I've tried creating a "user variable" but it doesn't have the expected behaviour: It does not update globally in all the other slice occurrences.

So instead, since all i'm doing is creating a variable for the filename, it would also work to have a builtin variable for it.

Slice?  Isn't that an export persona thing?

Have you considered placing it in a symbol?

 

"Variables," including file name, are a feature of Publisher, not of Designer.

You can set up a User Variable (e.g. filename) and add it to your first slice then use the buttons

Copy Export Format to Clipboard and Replace Export Setup from Clipboard

to update all the other slices with the same User Variable (you can select them all and update them all at once)
