apaeffgen
Affinity Designer 1.7.2, Macos 10.13.6. I use a font called Myriad Pro, but it is not only related to this font. Frutiger does not work as well. If i export to pdf, the texts with the problematic font contains garbled text. See the attached files. On exported with pages, one with Designer. Staff Sean P Posted September 2, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2019 Hi apaeffgen, Would you be able to attach a copy of the two fonts you are trying to export please. Also do you use any form of Font Management software (other than the default Mac FontBook)?
apaeffgen
I do not use another font manager. The fonts are installed in /Library/fonts Fonts will be sent to a secure link, when provided. MikeW has a point not to send illigally any foreign property. I guess these are standard fonts, but never the less. Please provide a secure solution Edited September 2, 2019 by apaeffgen Comment of of other user

I really wish you would insist on private communication and/or private links when asking for fonts, commercial design assets, etc. What is happening all too often is illegal public transfer of commercial goods. I don't think y'all would appreciate someone posting links to cracked Affinity software. apaeffgen
I uploaded the MyriadPro fonts. With these fonts you got an example of the garbled text. With the Frutiger Fonts i am not sure. I did not get any message of a sucessfull upload.
Staff Sean P Posted September 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 4, 2019 Thanks for the files. I've been trying this myself, but the export is going out correctly. Would you be able to retry the export and untick 'Subset Fonts' in the 'More' dialog to see if that goes out without an issue. Also would you be able to record a quick video showing the way you're exporting and what all of your PDF export settings are set to? Also what are your Language & Region settings in System Preferences?
apaeffgen
Hi Sean, i restarted the Mac, Updated all Apps. Now the export is working. Maybe it is related to a OS-Hickup. I will open a new thread, when the problem persists.
