Takahisa Kusuda
From Pages to Publisher trying to copy and paste seems to create troubles. - When the texts from Pages (Mac app) include underlines, the publisher shuts down immediately. - When you try to paste more amount of texts than the size of text box, it shuts down, too. I have many documents on Pages that I want to paste into the publisher files but I have been having problems. Any suggestions or improvements in the future. Does it only happens because of Japanese language?
pruus
Have you tried to save the pages document as PDF, and then imported it? That’s the way I do It to more applications which cannot be imported.

All I can say is it does not shut down (crash) Publisher for me. I am using the U.S. English language setting for Publisher on my Mac, running High Sierra. thomaso
Works for me, too, in AfPub with pasting underlined text without crash from Pages 7.1 in macOS 10.12.6. Could you upload for further tests a simple pages document with some underlined text in a common Japanese font? FWIW, I did not try anything with Japanese text in it. I'm not even sure how underlining works in that language. Takahisa Kusuda
Thanks all. The frist paragraph that caused 'shut down' was the following texts. The fonts are called 'Hiragino Gothic Standard' which I often use. ================== "礼拝の中心に祈りが存在するのはどうしてでしょうか。祈りなしに礼拝することは可能でしょうか。その理由を述べてください。 " ================= In this, the unlined part does not show but there are blank with underlines. The second crush had happened when I copied more texts than the size of the text box and the box is not yet linked to any other box. If the numbers of letters are a little more than the size to fit then it worked and I was able to paste it. But it was difficult to tell until I actually paste. Formatting a text is much efficient and easy to do when I do it on Pages than to do it on the Publisher for me. I found it true especially when I try to write something as a numbered list and edit the list. Thanks for any advice on this. Kusuda

You will probably have to zip the file to attach it to a post. PsalmsL1_Worship and Praise.zip I don't see underlined text in your zipped .pages document opened in Pages.app. Is it because I don't have your font? Have a look at mine with a pdf exported from your .pages file: PsalmsL1_Worship and Praise.pages_ot.pdf – Are those pure black lines between the text paragraphs meant to be your underlined text? – Can you upload a .pdf which shows your wanted result? – And possibly upload a pages document with underlined text in a common font, means a system font in macOS? When I opened the unzipped file in Pages, the paragraph that matched the one from your earlier post was labeled with a 3. prefix, was not underlined, & the Font was "Hiragino Kaku Gothic ProN," not "Hiragino Kaku Gothic Std." (Both fonts are installed on my Mac.) Anyway, I selected that paragraph & in Pages clicked the Underline button, to get this: I then copied the paragraph as you see it & pasted it into a text frame in a new Publisher document, Pages paste.afpub. No crash occurred. I am not sure I did everything the same way as you did but I experimented with pasting into different sized text frames & even pasting without first dragging out a text frame. I could not get Publisher to crash no matter what I did. Takahisa Kusuda
Thank you for taking time for me. I was wrong about the kind of fonts as you had pointed out. I have tried myself the same thing as you did. It crushed again. I have taken two screen shots and uploaded. One is my Pages app's file from which I have copied. The other is what you had created and this is the place I tried to paste it and then it crushed again. My OS is High Sierra 10.13.6 Affinity Publisher's version is 1.7.2 and I changed the preference to language - Japanese.
