Mark M. (bigmountainstudio
I was wondering if there is a way to curve text into a shape. Like in the attached image you see "ARENO" isn't quite "text on a path". Maybe it can be converted to curves and I can manipulate the bounding box into that shape? I'm not sure how to accomplish this. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Mark
PixelPest
Unfortunately not possible with vector shapes; just Affinity Photo has a "Mesh Warp Tool" which works only on rasterised graphics. (I ´m used to use Inkscape for such cases) Cheers Mark M. (bigmountainstudio
firstdefence
Boggles my mind this is not a feature in Affinity Designer. Mark M. GarryP
You can achieve a very basic version of this by: * converting your text to curves; * ungrouping; * skewing each letter vertically and moving it back into position; * manually manipulating the nodes and curves at the edges (maybe using construction snapping to help). See my attached image where the top text is the original, the middle text is the result, and the bottom text is where I did the adjustments against two ellipses. It’s not great, and needs quite a bit of manual manipulation, but if you only need something simple then it might be useful. Mark M. CPC
Another basic way to get something like what's wanted? An advantage is that the path shape is converted to curves, not the text which remains editable. (Arial Black in this example) Mark M. Never even thought about the Shear property.
