Curve Text Into Shape (See attached example)

Boggles my mind this is not a feature in Affinity Designer.

You can achieve a very basic version of this by:
* converting your text to curves;
* ungrouping;
* skewing each letter vertically and moving it back into position;
* manually manipulating the nodes and curves at the edges (maybe using construction snapping to help).
See my attached image where the top text is the original, the middle text is the result, and the bottom text is where I did the adjustments against two ellipses.
It’s not great, and needs quite a bit of manual manipulation, but if you only need something simple then it might be useful.

An advantage is that the path shape is converted to curves, not the text which remains editable. (Arial Black in this example)

This is a really creative way to solve the problem, CPC! Never even thought about the Shear property.
