pomme27
It's been a couple years since I've used Adobe Illustrator. But I recall there was a way to highlight portions of two shapes, then click on an arrow to align the points within the highlighted area. This ensured that the edges of the two shapes (not all points on the two shapes) were perfectly aligned. See attached example. Does this feature exist in AD? Staff MEB Posted June 23, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 23, 2015 Hi pomme27, Enable Snapping in the Persona toolbar (the one at the top of the UI), make sure View ▹ Snapping Manager..., Snap to object bounding boxes is checked, then drag the triangle over the rectangle. When their edges are perfectly aligned you will see a vertical (green) smart guide appearing over the edge. If you check Include bounding box midpoints in the Snapping Manager, Affinity will also display an horizontal (red) smart guide when they are aligned by their mid points.
