Anners
Is this an error the developers are trying to fix? When will it be resolved?
markbowen
It is unfortunately a bug but one they do know about and are working on a fix for. I'm hoping it will be really soon. Donkey
Just needed to reset my Brush library, now I can't import anything. Any sort of time frame on the solution? Deleted 1.7.2 and downloaded 1.7.0 and started from scratch. Edited September 10, 2019 by Donkey Found a solution
Jackie McClements
This is driving me nuts! My Ron's brush collection has been abducted!

HI Any idea on a time frame to get this sorted. Or, other than downloading a previous version is there another way of loading brushes .. i.e. pasting new bushes into a folder etc??? Please advise Cheers, John
davehill
How can i revert back to version 1.7.1 until there is a fix.
Staff MEB Posted September 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 11, 2019 Hi johno58jj, Welcome to Affinity Forums This is still being looked into, there's no eta for a fix, sorry. Unfortunately, there's no other way to load/import new brushes. --- Hi davehiill, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you bought Affinity Photo from our Store (Affinity Store) you can download previous versions from here. If you have bought through the Mac App Store you can only revert back to a previous version if you have made a backup. Was just trying to figure it out on my iPad. Any eta for the release and beta builds? I have both. (On iPad)
Staff MEB Posted September 16, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 16, 2019 The Beta for Windows (v1.7.3.476) is already available here. The Mac version should follow soon. There's no eta/info for the retail or iPad versions/updates yet. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
xresch
I found two worarounds for the time being: Either downgrade to a previous version like 1.7.0 and wait for the issue being fixed in a future version. Or convert the brushes to PNGs and as described here, and import them using ""Brush Panel >> Menu >> New Intensity Brush". Downside to this method is that you are losing all the brush settings, also you have to import every brush on its own, as there is no batch import. I created a feature request for a batch import here.
wallstreetimage
I've had Affinity Photo on Mac for almost 2 years now and this problem is just now occurring. It's definitely troubling and bothersome because it's slowing down workflow for projects. I sure hope this is HIGH PRIORITY.
xresch
works for me again with version 1.7.3. Thanks to the team for fixing this issue. :-)
