Paste from another app

Recommended Posts

It would be very useful when Copy/Paste from another app (such as InDesign which uses PDF data) to have the same option "Group lines of text into text frames" as the Open->PDF Options has. Currently, after the Paste you always end up with separate lines of text which is, of course, unworkable.

By the way, here's a neat trick: You can get an exact position for a paste by creating an empty box in InDesign the size of the page, then do Select All (or select the desired objects then shift-select the empty box) and Copy then Paste in Publisher. The empty box will be ignored, but Publisher will honor the larger bounding box so that the objects will appear at the exact same location as in the InDesign document.
