Unchanging length of a line

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever suggested a feature for bending a stroke/line without changing its original length?

i.e. Draw a line 10cm long and then using curve nodes bend it in any way desired without its original length changing. In other words if the line was bent into an 'S' shape it would still be 10cm long when measured round the curves. I suppose what I'm saying is that its length is constrained regardless what you do with it.

If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!

Hi Jackamus,

I believe this has been covered here

Even tho Ash is talking about keeping the angle of the line, the same principle would apply to changing the shape and not the length of the line.  We just need the option for a Constrained line, which we currently don't have, not that i could find anyway.
