.abr brushes will not import

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

So I updated the Affinity Photo app on my iPad Pro to version 1.7.2 recently. While I was in the middle of editing a photo, I wanted to import a brush I normally use in Photoshop. I went and did the whole process of clicking “import brushes” in the brush menu and so forth through my dropbox. Dropbox went ahead and downloaded the file and it switched back over to the app and I assumed the import was successful. However, when I looked through the brushes, the import wasn’t there. I tried multiple times and checked to make sure that “.abr” was in the file name, but, nothing worked. After much frustration, I decided to reinstall the app. After installing, I tried importing my old brushes I used to have on the app and it didn’t work at all. Now I can’t import ANY of my brushes. Would someone know if they will fix this bug soon? Or if there is a way to revert to an older version of the app? :(

Thank you very much.

Elaine

I too am experiencing this issue. However I was able to download and install the attached photoshop (.abr) brush successfully. I do not know the reason why this particular brush works and others do not but pretty much any other brush I try to import into affinity designer or photo on ipad does not work. The attached brush was imported successfully on Affinity Designer for Ipad version 1.7.2 today 8/26/2019
