Mehtronx
Hello to everyone, I have been trying to solve this problem about an hour ago, but it happens that I cannot find a solution. When trying to place a text, either as normal text or a text box, a white background is placed that I cannot remove in any way. Does anyone know what can I do? I already reviewed all the color options and all the text options existing in the program. Many thanks.
walt.farrell
From the menu, View > Studio > Character. In that panel you'll a setting for background color, where you may have specified white instead of no color: If that doesn't help you might be able to fix it by using Edit > Defaults > Revert from the Menu. Or if that doesn't work, Edit > Defaults > Factory Reset. I'll try your fixes
Staff Chris B Posted August 28, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 28, 2019 Hey Mehtronx, To clarify—this happens when you paste text and not type it? If so, where are you pasting it from? AnneD
Hi, I'm having the exact same problem. It happens when I type text, but also when I copy and past text (from a website or even notepad). It happens with both Artistic as Frame Text Tool. And as Walt described, the background color in the Character panel is set to transparent. I notice that whenever I do specify a background color, it uses a different margin/padding. So it may not be the text background. I've tried restarting Affinity, but that doesn't work. When I start a new document the text works fine. In the document with the incorrect text I have pasted an image from Windows Snipping Tool. Hope that helps and I'm looking forward to a solution. Kind regards, Anne
