Shapes - missing parallelogram?

maybe i´m blind, but i didnt found the  shape "parallelogram"? is this maybe hidden in trapez/sqaure/ polygon?????

A parallelogram may be made by drawing a rectangle and then using the Transform Pane to shear it. Or you may use the little arrows which appear when you hover the mouse cursor near the side handles.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

i´m in Photo! Maybe thats it. Or maybe i´m too stupid to understand what you are saying. But to just lean/bend... does not make a square to a parallleogram (in a square = all angles are 90°, in a parellogramm just the A and C has the same angle and the B and D has the same the angle). So how can i get this with a standard square in PHOTO????

I know i can create something like that with the pen-tool and than bend and stretch the object, but it isnt a "shape",  and its difficult to change the AC/BD-angles later....

Hi Polygonius :)

This is possible in Photo using Old Bruce's method, check out the following GIF showing this!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Yes it does! A parallelogram is any quadrilateral whose opposite sides are parallel, so a square (or any rectangle) is simply a special kind of parallelogram.

Except that there are "rectangles" that are not quadrilaterals (the rounded corner rectangles of Affinity & several other apps). ;)

Round-cornered rectangles are still four-sided (i.e. quadrilateral). They just happen to have rounded corners! :P
