@Gabe

Hi Gabe,

found your answer while browsint thru all the PDF Black Overprint Topics.
I have this problems since I bought the first AFPub.

I've posted several Topics ovver the time, but I got no solution. Since you are a Moderator I think you are a bit closer to Serif and might have more "inside" knowledge ;-)
So here is my PDF-Problem:

AFpub 1.9. updated today.

I tested my old problem immediately.
I'll start again: I load a client-supplied PDF in AFpub into an image frame. The PDF loads cleanly, no texts or the like are shot up. I had that as well. This Problem is solved.
Now I create a PDF and look at the print preview. No matter how I export it - PDF/x3 or 4 or whatever. With raster and without raster.
The font on the left side is 100% black. So I assume black overprint works. In the loaded PDF on the right side, the text black is converted to 4c after export.
The texts in the PDF are 100% black and set to overprint.
If I load the same file into inDesign and export it, everything is correct.

Am I doing something wrong or is the problem with loaded PDF in 1.9 still there?
Actually, I wish that I am the error and that someone would tell me: "... look at this - this is the right way to do it ...".

here is a link to the data.
