MickRose
I like the idea that you can select non- contigeous text blocks - that's good. But sometimes I've found myself double clicking to select a word and then try to select the whole paragraph with the mouse. What happens is the selected word(s) move to the new position, making a jumble. If I could disable the direct movement of selected text that would be good. I know I can press the escape key to deslect a selection but I'd rather have an option to not allow direct movement of selected text. Maybe it already exists but I can't find it. walt.farrell
I don't think an option like that exists at this time. However, if it helps, you can quadruple-click to select a paragraph. Double-click will select a word, triple-click will select the line, and quadruple-click will select the paragraph. Bryce
I have also found this to be a problem especially after working with indesign. basically removing the option of dragging text around would solve the problem.

There is no need to combine double-click + dragging if you don't want to move text but rather select only. In case you want to select the first word by click + drag for the rest: Do not release the mouse after your 2nd click but hold it pressed and start dragging. p.s.: quite a few different ways available: https://operating-systems.wonderhowto.com/how-to/select-drag-copy-and-move-text-mac-os-10-5-334557/ Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
MickRose
I think the easiest way after selecting some text is to shift click to the last item you want (1 click) Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
