Copying content from older file to a newer one

Doing a series of technical drawings – not complicated. Copying a few lines with arrowheads (or even just 1) into a document created in a pre-arrowhead Designer version, results in the spinning beachball of death.

Is there a workaround with older documents to avoid this issue? (I have tried some of the old favourites – like saving as without success).

Hi basha,

Are you copying from the attached document or pasting into it? I've tried both pasting into and out of that document and not getting any beachballs. Are you able to record a video of the behaviour you are getting please, along with attaching a copy of your system specifications please?
